Side Effects by Amy Goldman Koss
It’s about a 15 year old teenager name Isabella or Izzy . She comes to find out that she has stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This story tells you all of Izzy's treatments and what she has to go through. It’s like us readers are going through this with her, because the author tells us about every hospital visit and every nasty injection. There’s very gross parts, like when she pukes! EWW! But as you go through the story, she has very loving support with her mom and her best friend.
Rate: I give this book a 10 out of 10, because it really gives you a reality check on what if you had cancer at your age? I love how it explains everything Izzy went through! It shows us teens that we should be very thankful for being very healthy but you never know when that’s going to back fire.

The Year of The Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty
Summary: The book is about these six kids from two different schools. The story starts out very confusing but as you keep on reading it gets interesting, anyways it started off a just an assignment handed out buy their teachers but then it gets crazy as the story keeps on going from funny pranks to some very serious stuff.
Rating: I really like the book and I give it a 10/10 because it very funny, in the beginning it was a bit confusing and as I kept on reading it starts to get funny and it keeps me entertain throughout the whole story that I could not stop reading. To me, it’s the best book I have ever read and I think it’s pretty cool while at other part it was just plain funny because the story has many pranks that are so weird yet very funny you won't be able to stop reading it. And i hope you guys enjoy reading it too.

Shark Girl by Kelly Bingham
Summary: Shark Girl is about a girl named Jane who was attacked by a shark. She was attacked at Point Dume State Beach. Jane had to get her right arm amputated. Jane enjoyed drawing and she thought that she couldn't draw anymore because she didn't have her writing arm anymore. Jane was upset and didn't want to do anything after the attack, not even attempt drawing again. She received lots of letters from other people who lost an arm or a leg, and realized it could of been worse. Almost everyone in those letters went back to doing what they loved whether they had two legs and arms or not. They inspired Jane to at least try to go back to doing what she loves.
Rating: I'd give this book a 9/10. It was descriptive and interesting to read.

The Puzzling World Of Winston Breen by Eric Berlin
Summary: Winston Breen absolutely loves puzzles and even makes puzzles out of day-to-day objects like wrapping paper and even pizza, but when Winston's sister is digging through her birthday present from Winston, she discovers four clues to a clue hunt much bigger than they could have imagined.
Rating: 10/10 ~ I would highly recommend this book; it is filled with tons of puzzles for you to figure out yourself and suspicious characters which may or may not turn into something else at the end, but you just have to read and find out.

The Total Tragedy of a Girl named Hamlet by Erin Dionne
Summary: This book is about a girl named Hamlet Kennedy and she is dealing with the craziness of her life. She has so many issues, her little sister first of all is way smarter that Hamlet and is basically ruining her whole life. She failing pre-algebra, the boy Carter that Hamlet has liked forever is still not interested in her, and so many more things. But most importantly her parents really try to embarrass Hamlet, they come to her school and totally make fun of her. If you think your life is hard, try being Hamlet...
Rating: I give this book a 10 out of 10! The author made the "tragedies" funny but sad, she could make the reader feel bad for Hamlet but you could still laugh about it! This book is hilarious!
